More projects, of course! There are so many fabulous things to do in life and it is WONDERFUL to have the freedom to do them without worrying about money. I have listed the largest ones as Pages and the smaller ones are in my blog.
Before this blissful state...I lived in the blissful state of running my own company, Power Projects Inc. and creating interesting and rewarding projects that supported me. My friends frequently joked (har dee har) that they wanted my life...because in-between contracts I would travel the world and have great outdoor adventures. Talk about being in the one percent! Before I officially retired, I coordinated a program called the Repair Our Air-Fleet Challenge. It was the best! And I am so proud of what we accomplished. We challenged companies that owned hundreds (sometimes thousands) of fleet vehicles to download their engine data so they could see how much fuel they were wasting...which was LOTS. Most commercial vehicles idle approximately 45% of operating time and waste 20% of their fuel doing absolutely nothing. Police and ambulances are even worse as they typically idle 80% of operating time or more. Don't get me started! By creating a challenge amongst utility fleets (Enbridge, OPG, Toronto Hydro Bell, Rogers); long-haul trucks (Sunbury, Canada Cartage); motor coaches (Greyhound, Pacific Western); taxis; cities and towns across Ontario we slowly changed the habit of leaving engines running constantly regardless of the weather. It took a LOT of work. Despite the enormous savings to each company, breaking bad habits is not easy. It took a lot longer than I expected but was fun because of the great people I worked with.
