Shamanism

I am active with the Toronto Institute of Contemporary Shamanic Studies (ICSS) which is a solid, accessible and dynamic school of shamanism based on teachings from Turtle Island and around the world. Most of us are not indigenous although several indigenous people study with us...which is a great thing since the Anishnawbe Eighth Fire Prophesy suggests it is about time we started to work together.

Why shamanism? Because we all know in our hearts and guts that there is more to life than buying lots of stuff and saving up for retirement. We are here to grow in every aspect, including spiritually. Shamanism is one way of doing that in a way that appeals to an increasing number of people on Turtle Island.

ICSS belongs to the Deertribe, where I am a RAVEN astrologically. The Raven (Libras) are the bringers of mystery and magic...and the ones who teach the foolishness of social law. They are trouble makers! Maybe that's why I don't shut up even when I know I'm going to get into trouble.
